* DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERAS! *
What are Digital video Cameras used for:
A digital Camera is used to capture important/significant moments so
they can be previewed over and over again. The shots taken can be viewed on
Computer or other different systems.
Taking Care of your Digital Device:
With
any camera there are some tips to remember when keeping your camera safe!
1.
Do not scratch or damage the camera lens > Make sure that it’s
protected!
2.
Do not leave the camera in direct sunlight > Due to the heat melting
the camera or its lens.
3.
Keep all the cords/leads in a safe place and try not to tangle the
cords/cable > Rap in a neat cercal.
4.
Keep the camera away from any food or drinks > This is because the
camera is powered and doesn’t really respond well with food or water.
5.
Do not swing or throw the camera around > due to it being damaged.
Handling & Transporting the Camera:
Its best to
have a carry case that will protect your Camera while being transported >
most Cameras come with a carry case but some times it might not come with one.
If you don’t have one its Recommendable to find/get a suitable Carry case for transport.
Cameras
can be extremely sensitive to damage so when in transport keep in a safe place!
Camera Functions:
The Digital Video Camera/Video
Camera is used
to take/capture running film and depending on the type of camera it might be
able to take Still shots/Still Photos.
The camera may also have a fade in and out controller.
It may also have extra Special futures depending on the camera.
The Digital Camera is used to take still images and
photos.
Depending on the type of camera it might have a video function that
takes short clipped film > This is not used professionally to capture a
1-hour film/video clip > The quality is also not that brilliant because
Photo cameras are meant for taking still shots not Video clips.
But a Digital Camera is extremely good because you can take great
quality photos and print them at home on your home PC or laptop.
Most cameras are equipped with Digital zoom or manual Zoom the differences between them is that Digital is faster and better quality – depending on the camera. Manual can also be 1 or two seconds slower.

Camera Memory:
All of the new Digital cameras have ether in built memory or a memory card.
Be careful with internal memory you might lose the data/files from the camera if it losses its battery power.
Memory
card are new and better because you can upgrade memory, switch cards to another
camera or even plug the card into the computer if compatible > a special
device might be needed.
Taking the best picture:
Ok lets get started so you have your Camera and your ready to use it.
These are some steps that will guide you in taking a photo or video clip.
Only if needed!
6a. If
you recorded onto tape then plug the camera into the TV {in} sockets and view
the film or if you have a tape adapter then play the tape in a normal VCR.
These steps are simple due to the differences between different cameras!
Reminder: Keep the camera still try not to move it because you might blear the picture or see the movement on a video clip > This will help in taking still shot.
If you don’t want to hold the camera then you might be able to get a stand for your camera.
Inside and outside photos:
When out doors if it’s a bright day you don’t have to use the flash > It’s best that you turn it off due to the photo becoming to bright. But if indoors or out side at noon where it might be dark its best to have the flash on it will help in taking the photos.
Bad photos:
Don’t be to worried about photos not coming out because you won’t always get the best picture!
Its always good to take double
shots and to view your film on the day of filming and if filming to always have
a back up plan incase batteries die / tape ends or something wrong happens.
